New Year. New learnings.

While each and every school year that passes presents new opportunities for growth, this year is a special one. Remote and hybrid learning, amongst other shifts, have changed education in unprecedented ways.

In Part 3 of the Insights & Innovation Webinar Series, you will hear from two ThinkCERCA educators about how they utilize the program to implement cross-curricular literacy instruction. You will discover how to use ThinkCERCA’s flexible framework to design, deliver, and measure your students’ writing skills and goals across multiple subjects.

This hour-long event includes two presentations and a live Q&A with members of the ThinkCERCA team.

Presentation 1: If Math can use ThinkCERCA, anyone can

Presenter: Wayne Beadles lives in Colorado Springs, Colorado, and teaches at Pikes Peak Early College and Springs Studio for Academic Excellence.  Wayne has taught Mathematics for two decades at the middle school, high school, and community college levels.  He enjoys mountain biking and being outside sightseeing the beautiful mountains of Colorado. Believe it or not, Mr. Beadles does not spend all of his time graphing polynomials as his students believe he does.  A self-proclaimed "nerd", most students would describe him as down to earth and funny.  He prides himself on being a teacher first and a math teacher second.  ThinkCerca has given him a framework to help his students explain their mathematical thinking.

Presentation 2: Initiating a Positive Writing Culture Using CERCA

Presenter: Robyn Donisi is currently in her 28th year in education. Robyn has served as the Assistant Superintendent in charge of Curriculum, Instruction, Assessment and Federal Grants for the last 7 years at Franklin City Schools. She has 11 years in the classroom teaching Math and Science in the 4th-8th grade band. A seasoned educator and administrator, she served as a principal for 10 years.
